Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions set out the basis on which I provide counselling services. By engaging in counselling with me, you agree to the following.

About the service

I am Georgina Davies, a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), offering online counselling sessions to adults.

Counselling is provided in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and relevant professional standards.

Sessions

  • Sessions are conducted online via a secure video platform

  • Each session lasts 50 minutes

  • Sessions usually take place on a weekly basis, unless agreed otherwise

  • Therapy may be short-term or open-ended depending on your needs

Fees and payment

  • The fee for each session is £60 per 50-minute session, unless otherwise agreed

  • Payment is made by bank transfer

  • Payment is required prior to each session

Any agreed concessionary rates will be discussed in advance.

Cancellations and missed sessions

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed sessions, are normally charged in full, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Confidentiality

Everything discussed in sessions is confidential and handled in line with the BACP Ethical Framework.

There are rare exceptions to confidentiality, including situations where:

  • There is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others

  • Disclosure is required by law

These limits to confidentiality will be discussed with you.

Online counselling

Online counselling relies on a stable internet connection and a private space at both ends. I cannot be held responsible for technical difficulties outside of my control.

Sessions are not recorded.

Suitability for counselling

Online counselling may not be suitable for everyone. If I believe that another form of support would be more appropriate, I will discuss this with you and, where possible, help you find alternative support.

Ending therapy

You are free to end counselling at any time. I encourage discussion around endings where possible, as this can be a meaningful part of the therapeutic process.

I also reserve the right to end therapy if it is no longer appropriate or safe to continue, in line with ethical responsibilities.

Complaints

If you have concerns about the service, I encourage you to raise them with me directly in the first instance.

If the matter cannot be resolved, you have the right to contact the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their complaints procedure.

Changes to these terms

These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
